ProctorlyX Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated: April 14, 2026
What is ProctorlyX?
ProctorlyX is a non-invasive assessment platform where creators can build quizzes, publish public assessments, and manage joined learners in one place.
What is the difference between private and public assessments?
Private assessments are accessed through a join code. Public assessments appear in the marketplace and can be discovered directly from the dashboard.
How do paid assessments work?
Creators can mark an assessment as paid and set a fee. Learners unlock paid public assessments through the payment flow before they can take them from their joined assessments list.
Can I create a private assessment first and make it public later?
Yes. You can keep an assessment private while preparing it, then edit it later to make it public when you are ready to list it in the marketplace.
Do private assessments still need a category?
They can have one now. Categories help organize assessments early and make it easier to publish them later without reworking the metadata.
Where do joined assessments go after I unlock or join them?
Once joined or unlocked, they appear in your Joined Assessments area where you can start, continue, or review eligible attempts.
Who can edit an assessment?
Only the creator owns the assessment settings and management actions. Public visibility does not make creator controls available to other users.
